We call this one ... killing Sasha. I feel like this is one of the best scenes in the film. It was a true collaborative effort. Mike had the idea that we have them speaking Russian, of course then he had to learn it. This was also an early piece of score for Dave and we really fine tuned it. At first I wasn’t sure about the Death Wish vibe, but after I watched it a few times, I love the feel. The way he ramped it up as Fred slams the door and runs across the street is awesome! I think this piece shows how far we came from the beginning. Especially since we shot the scenes of Fred listening about 2 years before the rest. That’s independent filmmaking for ya.
